Mary Aparicio Silvas, 97, of Port Lavaca passed away January 6, 2018. She was born October 25, 1920 in Goliad to Isaac and Manuela Villareal Aparicio. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane Twedell (Mike), Hope Sylva (Sam) and Dorothy Ann Fletcher (Ed); sisters, Rose Aparicio, Andy Morales, Tony Garcia and Francis Buentello; brother, Pete Aparicio; grandchildren, Kim Low, Craig Sylva, Cathy Hughes, Jennifer Lehnert, Pam McCarthy, Peter Twedell, Will Fletcher, Debbie Fleming and Bradley Sylva; great-grandchildren, Reilly Low, Lizzie, Rory,...

Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Jane Twedell (Mike), Hope Sylva (Sam) and Dorothy Ann Fletcher (Ed); sisters, Rose Aparicio, Andy Morales, Tony Garcia and Francis Buentello; brother, Pete Aparicio; grandchildren, Kim Low, Craig Sylva, Cathy Hughes, Jennifer Lehnert, Pam McCarthy, Peter Twedell, Will Fletcher, Debbie Fleming and Bradley Sylva; great-grandchildren, Reilly Low, Lizzie, Rory, Sarah and Sam McCarthy, Maddie and Isaac Twedell, Dawson and Abby Lehnert, Miles Fleming, Bennett, Alex and Cate Hughes and Nicolas Sylva; along with countless nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Silvas; parents; sisters, Isabel Garcia, and Janie Gonzales; brothers, Benard Aparicio and Homer Aparicio.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with a rosary to begin at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Point Comfort. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.
Pallbearers are Greg Low, Craig Sylva, Brady Hughes, Jeff Lehnert, Darren McCarthy, Peter Twedell, Will Fletcher and Bradley Sylva.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Trinity Shores for the loving support they provided to her.
